I’m Valerie, and those who know me call me Val. I’m a chatterbox at heart, so I’ll try to keep this short & sweet.
I’m a cheese-obsessed FRIENDS-a-holic living in Toronto (except you have to keep driving about 30 minutes outside the city to actually get to where I live). Cheese-obsessed is an understatement by the way, since I’m somehow capable of eating a large block all by my lonesome in a crazy short amount of time. I add cheese to everything – my breakfast, lunch, dinner, wine… you get my drift.
But back to the blog…
I bought the Think Chivalry domain a while ago to create a space where I can share the things that I love through my love of writing.
But due to a few too many bouts of perfection-itis, I didn’t write my first post until 2016, so I guess you could say that I didn’t actually start blogging until recently. Thankfully I didn’t though because so much in my life has changed since then. Now that I’ve discovered what it’s like to have a close relationship with Jesus, I can’t imagine sharing the things that I love without it including the turning-points of this amazing journey.
You’re probably wondering… what does “ThinkChivalry” mean?
When I think chivalry I think paying it forward. For me, it’s paying forward how God has changed my life (by sharing with others), in the hopes of helping even one person.
2 Corinthians 1:3 – 4 reminds us that God is the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our afflictions, so that we in turn can also comfort others going through troubles, with the comfort we ourselves receive(d) from God.
If you stick around you’ll find things I’ve gotten inspired by, some good old tips & tricks, recipes, and most importantly a glimpse into some of the pivotal points on my journey in Christ.
Wanderlust is also my middle name, and a few years ago, one of my sisters and I added travel to our bucket lists, making it our goal to travel to at least one new place every year. You’ll get a taste of these adventures, sprinkled with pictures, reviews, and the occasional travel guide.
I also share some business & marketing tips that have helped me through my entrepreneurial journey since I started my own business in 2012.
